FREQUENCY OF ACCIDENTS.

During the debate on the Address-m-Reply, Mr W. Brace's amendment, drawing attention to the increase in the number of accidents in mines and on railways, led to the Government emphasising Mr McKenna's promise to introduce a Bill based on the experience of the Croder disaster, and Mr J. M. Robertson, Parliamentary Secretary of the Board of Trade, promised an enquiry under the Railway Employment and Prevention of Accidents Act.
