ACCIDENT TO THE WILTSHIRE.
News hae come to Band to the effect that the ancxpected'y long cojourn of tho F. .and S. liner Wiltshire in the United Kingdom •was brought about by a serious accident that happened to her. It appears that, as ie tht usual custom when the company's vessels aro st Liverpool, she was ordered to doelc, and early one morning the work of placing Her thero was begun. The weather was squally at' the time, but as a precaution eevcral tugs were in attendance. The squalle were ■unusually strong, however, nnd one sudden guet caught and took chaTgo of the big vessel, carrying her up against another veseel. The "Wiltshire was seriously damaged, ac may bo gathered by the fact that ten plates had to bo taken out, the stem post and ehaft wxa fmctured, and a new" propeller and shaft wore found to be necessary for her. Naturally, repairs will epread over come weeks, and cause great inconvenience in sailing arrangements,, the Wiltshire'e departure having to bo postponed until next month.
