(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) . WELLINGTON, October 29. Unless the strike is settled soon the shortage of coal is likely to prove serious for. the city. The coal merchants propose to supply their customers in small quantities only. ■ Tho city electric light station has enough coal to last about a week, and th© tramway power-house supply is only sufficient for a limited period. Tho Storemen's Union at a meeting held to-night resolved to support .the waterside workers.
