BRUSH WITH THIE POLICE. (Received September 2nd, 11.20 p.m.) LONDON, September 2. Throe hundred striking clay-workers at St. Anstell returned to work under police protection. A largo force of pickets attemptod to prevent them from returning, forcing the- police to charge and use their batons. Forty people were injured, including the strike leaders, before tho crowd dispersed.
