(Hinds, it may be noted, is right in the .middle of the Ashburton Electorate): i "On Sunday night the Rev. Mr Rogers preached his farewell sermon in St. Luke's Church, Hinds, to a satisfactory congregation, from Psalms cxlx, 1. He urged all to enter the only wny to life eternal. He enumerated all the obstacles which prevented people entering the way.
