Hawker was besieged by women wanting autographs, and waded kneedeep into the sea to escape them. Tho women followed, whereupon ho accepted the inevitable. Hawker was warmly welcomed in London. He is now testing a new Admiralty aeroplane. He refused a lucrative music hall engagement to narrate his experiences during his flight.
