Tho Olympic Games' v.ommittoe has published an elaborate programme for tho preparation of athletes by various governing sporting bodies. It enjoins the nocoj-sity of arousing enthusiasm in the scliooK and the committee is cooperating with headmasters in arranging county championships and triangular English, Scottish, and Irish contests. it is also assisting affiliated clubs with prizes. All the contests are to be over .metric distances.
