Dr John It. Mott's recent evangelistic meetings for Government students in China have produced most remarkable results according to reports which have recently reached England. Ho says that in all Ins experience ho lias never addressed meetings «*o largely attended and so significant in their character. It is estimated that as the result of the evangelistic campaign over 137,500 students and young Chinese have attended the gatherings, whilst, thoro have been "057 signed enquirers. The student audiences which averaged 1000 a night in India have boon more than double that number in each of tlio fourteen cities visited throughout China. Mr Mott has beeir assisted in this campaign by Mr Sherwood Eddy, and at one of the, cities Mr Eddy was permitted to address the cadets at the Military Academy. The General and his stuff were present, and Mr Eddy was given jktfeet freedom to mention Christianity and to aak tho men to join Bible-c.-lasses. Special eiForts are being made to conserve the results, and competent men have been set apart in each city in order to organise "follow up" plans.
