Tlio monthly meeting of the Richmond. Schooi Committee was held on Tuesday. Pre&cnt —Messrs J. Burgess (chairman), Brown, ' Buist, Christian, Kay. Pentecost, and Taylor. The headmaster's report showed tho ?01l number to bo 750, with a.n average attendance of 653. It was resolved, on the recommendation of tho Education Board, to ckeo the school on Friday, August 29th. for the spring holidays. The Works Committee was authorised to have the swimmfng pool painted and the lawn, tennis court laid down and fenced.
