MAYFIELD.
The annual meeting- ot the Mayneld | Presbyterian Church was held last Thursday. There was a.good attendance. The Rev. J. Wilson gave in tho j report of the year's work. The mem- i bcrship had increased horn 77 to 85, j and there had been 21 baptisms, "lho.! attendances at 'church services were , good. Mr Oakley, treasurer, submitted ; the balance-sheet, showing an ordinary revenue of £230, and expenditure of ; £212. Tho ladies had also raised for i missions, etc., abont £33. For the Sab- j bath school over £3 had been collected. j The Rev. G. B. luglis then gave aj helpful and inspiring address. It was i thereafter enthusiastically agreed to; build a now manse and provide a new j gig for the miivster. Votes of thanks i were passed to the nrnister. his wife, J and the various church workers.
