SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Mr D. C. Bates, Government Meteorologist, supplied the following weather summary »nd forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:— . Earometric pressure is etill considerably bolow noTmal and very unsteady. Cold, equally , , and eho-vrtjry -weather has been experienced'in most parte of the country, and southerly ■winds have predominated. Soae axe heavy, southward of Cnstlepbint. Present indications are for iinsettled, cold,' and showery -weather. Strong ecrath to eoutheastorly winds will probably prevail. The barometer ia very -unsteady,. but should soon rise everywhere, and probably high in the south for ft short time.
