I The Dr. Sherman method of treating rupture is diametrically different to the oruinary truss methoa, whien, exerting a downward "spreading" pressure, absolutely prevents healing, as it pushes the ruptured walls apart. Thus, when once worn, it has to be worn practically a lifetime. On an exactly opposite principle, the Dr. Sherman method exerts an upward "contractile" pressure, holding tho injured membrane in such a way that it heals; and this healing is aided by tho application of a usetul adjunct in tho form of a curativo compound. The result is startling. Kelief is instant, and instead of the rupture remaining stationary or growing worse, it gradually becomes smaller, and ultimately disappears. This has been proved in cases of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 years' standing. The tallowing testimonial is only one of many paying tribute to the efficacy of the i)r. J. A. Sherman method of curing rupture and. bearing out the foregoing statements: — 122 Nith £trcot, Invcrcargill, October 16, "A. W .Martin, Esq.
