I HEREBY give notice that the Christchurch Tramway Board proposee to RAISE a SPECIAL LOAN for tho purpoeo of the undertaking hereunder mentioned: — (1) The particular purpose for which the Loan ie required is tho construction and equipment of an Electric Tramway commencing from the junction of tho present Opawa tramway line at the corner of Waltham road and Wordsworth street, thence by way of Waltbam road, Langdown etrect and/Hills road to the foot of tho Hille at White's road, a distance of 141 chains, together with a proportionate eharo of Power Plant, Rolling Stock, Connecting Tracks, and other central assets. (2) The sum proposed to be borrowed for euch purpose is £15.000. (3) The proposed security for tho Loan will be the tramway laid along the route above mentioned and tbo revenues arising therefrom, and a Special Rate over tho St. Martin's Tramway Special Rating Area, to cover Interest and Sinking Fund which, will bo made and levied for that purpose. Provision for re-payment will bo made by the creation of a Sinking Fund at the rate of Ten Shillings per centum per annum. {<) It is proposed to pay out of the Loan (a) The coet of raising tho same. (b) Interest while any work comprising i the undertaking authorised is under construction; and (c) All preliminary expenses incurred in connection with and incidental to tho above undertaking. ADDITIONAL RATING- POWERS.
