The roadinge taken at tho Ashburton Domain weather station at 9 a.m. yesterdny were: —Barometer 29.70, thermometer—maximum 44.5, minimum 36. Kain 0.32 in. The inetcorological observations taken at tbe Ashburtcn Domain weather station ior the month of April arc as follows: —Highest reading of the baroraeler, 30.38 in, on tho 21st, low<v«t, 29.12, on the 13th; highest reading maximum thermometer, 74deg., on the 14th, lowest, 46deg., on the 18th; highest reading minimum thermometer, 52deg., on tho 13th, lowest, 3(Vfc.<j., on the 9th. The hayuart frost was experienced on the 9th, when Videg, wcro registered. The rainfall for the month was 1.7.5 in, us against 4.16 in for Uie corresponding month last yea-r.
