WANGANUI TRAINING NOTES.
(.RESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WANGANUI, February 25. Amongst the horses which arrived last night were Labour Day, Composed. Dearest. Stepney, Styx, Distinction, Crown Pearl and Imagination, while Postillion, Moutoa Girl ; and Nukuatu, with others, walked in from Fordell this morning, when the weather was fino and the tracks in excellent order. Autumnns ran six furlongs in lmin 20scc, and Masterpiece and Domino a mile in lmin 46sec, the latter pleasing most. Tiresome and Allegation did six furlongs in lmin 28sec, while Distinction, East Wind and Moiretto took lmin 34.cc. Cheddar covered a milo and a quarter at three-quarter pace. Ventura went half a mile in 51sec, and Jason six furlongs in lmin 16sec. Aruake was too good for Aviatrix over six fnrlonga. Deaiest and Styx ran five furlongs in lmin 4sec. Stepney taking lmin 4|sec. Bronze galloped three-quarters of a mile, and being then joined by Lockwood, covered another halfmile nicely. Labour Day went twice round at half pace. Composed, Ditto, Muleteer and Rej-l Patron finished together at the end of a fast run eeven furlongs. Coroma_dcl covered half a mile nicely, whilo Phroso, and Denise Orme did six furlongs, finishing strongly. Postillion went five furlongs in lmin 4Jsec, Leonta and Princess Moutoa covering the same distance in lmin 7«ec comfortably, Nukuatu taking lmin 4sec. Moutoa Girl ran a mile and a quarter, the last mile taking lmin 47Jsec. Serviceabl. work was registered by Imasrination, North East, Austin, Tiwari. Silver Rose and others. Mahinawa jumped fire hurdles fairly well, and Serenity accomplished a similar task.
