ROLLESTON.
Thero has been a heavy fall of rain I in tho Rolleston district, stopping harvest operations for a few days (says our qorrespondent). Thero is a considerable quantity of wheat still in stook, and tho threshing machines havo been very busy. _o far, the yield is, as far as I can 'gather, on about a par with last year. Potato crops and turnips aro looking first-class. The white clover crop is mostly cut, but the yield per acre will not bo heavy, owing to the previous dry spell. There will not be much red clover, owing to early crops being too early for the humble bee. and tho lato bloom boing too lato in the season.
