A meeting of ratepayers to consider the Lake Coleridge scheme will beheld in the Young Afen's Guild Hall, Winion street, .-?t. Albans, this evening at S o'clock.
A meeting of the National Schools' Defence League will be held in. the King's Theatre on Friday, 14th inst., at 8 p.m. A garden party is to take place at Bishopscourt at 3 p.m. to-niorrow, to meet the Bishop of Melanesia. The Bishop of Melanesia will speak at a public meeting at- the King's Theatre at 8 p.m. on Monday, the 17th inst. The bakers' picnic takes place on Thursday next at Purau.
