A conference of the boot manufacturers of the Dominion opened at tho "ooms of the Canterbury Employers' Association yesterday. The proceedings wero not open to the newspaper reporters. It i 3 understood that amongst other matters under discussion is tbe question of the revision of th© tariff, nnd mntters connected with tho conference thereon called by the Minis-k-r of Customs.
