Of tho two persons implicated in the Trotter murder, one was of smail physique aud did not speak during th© tragedy. A detective, working on the theory that the smaller person was a woman and well acquainted with the Trotters and their movements, says that sho did not speak for fear of her voice betraying hor later. A labourer named Harold Thompson has been arrested and formally charged with the murder of Trotter. Tho polico havo been shadowing him for days, and surrounded his houso before making the arrest.
