QUEEN'S THEATRE.
A new programme of Messrs MacMahon and Edwards's continuous pictures was screened at the Queen's Theatre yesterday, and was witnessed and greatly enjoyed by large audiences. The feature picture was "Between Life and Death," and another excellent dramatic series was "The Poacher's Pardon." The last mentioned was remarkable for the details given of the manner in which the poacher operates with ferret and net. A charming love story was interwoven, and tho film was followed with keen interest. "The Amateur Iceman" was an American comedy-drama which abounded in humorous situations arising out of the action of two well-to-do young people temporarily taking positions as housemaid and iceman respectively. "When Woman Rules" was described by the producers of it as a satire, and it dealt humorously with the stato of affairs that may be expected to arise once women undertake all the work now done by men. A film of much interest depicted tho Maoris in their own villages. Tho comedy picture, "Tho New Maid a Flirt," was very laughable. The sam© programme will be given today and this evening, and for Monday next is announced the screening of the lengthy and very interesting industrial picture, dealing with the rubber industry, "From Tree to Tyre.'
