A crowded house attended tho presentation of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" at tho Sydenham Picture Theatre last night Tnc picture is accompanied by a trained choir of thirty voices and a soloist who gavo the old plantation melodies "Massa's in the Cold Ground," "Old Kentucky Home," "The Old Folks at Home" and "Poor Old Joe. ,, The picture is suppoited by a full programme of up-to-date items. A comedy rilm "Popular Betty" causecr muck merriment. "Through the Flames" is a thrilling drama in which a house is destroyed, and in which there are great leaps into life-saving nets. A great romantic episode is depicted in "The Irony of Face. The "Gazette" brings topical Australian news. Other items—"The Burning of a Match Factory" ard "Over the Phone a Max Linder comedr conclude a list, of interest and attraction. The programmo will be repeated to-night.
