NAVAL AND MILITARY TOURNAMENT.
The Xew Zealand naval and military tournament, which will be hold at Christchurch on December 28th and 27th, promises to bo an attractive and popular function, judging by the escellent programme that has been propared. There will be thirty-five events, and amongst the leading ones will bo a musical ride by a specially trained troop of men and horses. A musical drive, physical drill and gymnastic displays will be other attractions, and a pushball match will probably be included in the popular events. The competitions will be open to tho Royal Navy •and defence forces of the Dominion and tho Commonwealth, and the entries will close on December 3rd.
