PLAGUE IN NOUMEA
OUTBREAK INCREASING

Advices from Noumea state that the plague, is increasing in virulence, r.nd twenty-two more deaths are reported, including two Europeans. Energetic steps are. being taken to fisht tho plague, and the town has been officially declared infected. A' special vote of £2000 has been passed for the burning of condemned buildings and other measures. Cablo messages have been received asking for special appliances to combat the trouble, and one thouj sand , doses of lymph will bo taken, by the steamer Pacifioue.
