SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

A meeting of the Sydenham District School Cooimitteo was held on Tuesuay evening, Mr G. E. Good being • m the chair. Tho headmaster reported that the number of boys on the roll was 303. girls '285, infants -113, making a total of 1006. The average attendance was —Boys 285, girls 2<il, infants 362; total 90S The highest attendance being— Boys 293, girl* 270, infants 376; total 939. A collection for the Clyde Kedshaw relief fund had been made in the school, and realised £7 2s 9d, and there was more to come. This amount included a cheque for £2 2s, kindly contributed by irtr T. M. Mitchell. It was decided to hold the annual picnic early in February next, the date to be fixed later on.
