A preliminary meeting was held ttus week to arrange for a public meeting at the V.M.C.A. on Friday, December 6th, of thosevprepared to defend the national system of education. Particulars of the meeting are given elsewhere in this issue.
A sale of work, in connection with the St. Luke's Ministering Children's League, will be held in tho Mission Hall, Victoria street, to-day, and will be opened at 2.30 p.m.
