LANCASTER PARK FETE.

In connection with the Lancaster Park Fete, on Anniversary night, at Lancaster Park, under the auspices of the Canterbury Caledonian Society, there will be competitions for prizes to bo awarded tho best dancer of the Highland fling, the sword dance, and the reel, and prizes are" also offered for tho best pipe music players. {selections will also be given by the 'Stanmore Band and the Caledonian Society s Pipe Band. Tho Park will be brilliantly illuminated for the occasion by electricity supplied from the Iramwa}Board's power-house. The general lighting of tho track will be by means of powerful searchlights.

MEETING OP GENERAL COMMITTEE.

The Lancaster Park Fete Committee met last night, when Mr C. R. Clark presided. ... _~ Mr D. Recso wrote, advising that a fancy dress cricket match would be played.
