DUNEDIN, November 27. Among the Canterbury exhibitors, Mr Arthur' Chamberlain was successful in tho Shorthorn classes, winning in tho three bull classes and taking tho championship with his two-year-old Charming Count XXIII. The Riccarton Estate were second in ihe aged bull class and in yearling heifers. Mr Chamberlain did not scoro better in tho femalo classes than seconds in three year and two year old heifer classes, but was first in fat cows and heifers, his cow having won at Leeston, christchurch, Banks Peninsula, Oamam and Dunedin. Mr W. J. Silcock, of Ashburton, won several prizes in Jerseys. Tho Hon. R. Heaton Rhodes won without competition in tho red polled classes. Mr Dowthwaite, of Waimate, won a number of prizes in Border Leicesters, hut lost the cliampionship to Mr T. S. .J_eith, of Ngapara. The latter also beat the New Zealand and Australian Land Co. in tho three classes of Lincoln rams in which ho showed. Mr AY. Telford, of Clifton, was the principal prize winner in Romney Marsh, which formed tho best display in the sheep section, the Border Leicesters being a good second. Mr Charles Brice, ot Shirley, "scooped the pool" in all tho pig classes. Tho show of draught horses was small but good. It was not nearly equal to tho Ohristchurch and Oamaru shows, but as most of tho exhibits had tnet at the Taieri Show tho beaten ones failed to face competition again on tho Otngo Society's ground, and scratchings were numerous. Tho Otago horses that won at Christchurch were again to the fore, Messrs James Patrick in entires, and Thomson and Co. in marcs, being tho mos+- successful exhibitors, and the latter's Barons Brilliant again won the championship, with the same owner's Agatha as reserve. No championship in stallions was given.
