The sever© gala raging in tho Channel, and on tho West Coast caused tho collapso of a crano in the shipyard of Messrs Vickers, Son and Maxim, at Barrow. Two persons were killod and twelvo injured. The steamer St Patrick foundered at Star Point, fivo persons being drowned^ The action of tho sea caused great erosion on tho coast at Rhyl, and it threatens to destroy tho railway.
