SHIPPING NOTES.

Having loaded wool and other cargo, tho New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rotorua sailed yesterday aitemoon lor Aapier, Auckland and Wellington. She will oompleto loading at those ports, and will sail anally from Wellington on December. 12th .for London, via Monta Video, Tenerilfe and Plymouth. After a fairly busy spell, there are indications that tins week will bo a alack one on the water ixont. No oversea liners are due this week, and with tho exception of a few colliers and coastal cargo steamers, the list of expected arrivals includes only the regular time-table steamers. Therei wero no.arrivals yesterday, and the only vessels in port last night were the Navua, the Terra Nova, and threo coastal steamers. Tho Navua is to complete discharging this afternoon, when she will sail for Westport. Tho Katoa left Newcastle at 1 p.m. on Saturday with a full cargo of coal for Lyttelton, where she is due on Friday. , The Kowhai is due at Lyttelton about Saturday next to load for Napier and. Gisborne. The Storm, which sailed yesterday afternoon for Picton and Wanganui, is duo back here on Saturday.-pa her way to Dunedin. The schooner Lily ia loaded with produce for Greymouth, and is expected to eail today. Having completed an extensive overhaul, tho schooner Annie Hill is ready to eail for Kaipara with a load of produce. Advice was received yesterday that the Hansa Line steamer Barenfols, 5338 tons, has been chartered by the U.S. and A. Lino to load at New York for Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington, Lytteiton and. Dunedin. . , ■ • ' Tho Norwegian barque Pestalozzi, 970 tons, is to leave Timaru shortly for a South Australian port, to ; load wheat for tho United Kingdom or Continent. Tho barque Valdivia., 825 .tons, due shortly at Bluff with a cargo of guano, will afterwards proceod to" South Australia to load wheat for tho United Kingdom or Continent.
