A number of striking seamen, accompanied by their wives, made a demonstration at Marseilles against the rise vi tiro price of bread, and stoned tho ponce. Ten cf tho latter and twenty strikera were injured, some seriously. •Revolver shots wero exchanged, and sixty arrests wero effected.
