ANNUAL MEETING.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) PALMERSTON N., July 15. The Manawatu A. and P. Association's annual meeting was held to-day. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr T. R. Hodder; vice-presidents, Messrs D. Buick, M. P., J. A. Mash, J. G. Harkness, and Colonel Pringle; treasurer, Mr J. *M. Johnston; committee, Messrs Ernest Short, M. A. Conway, J. V. Batchelor, Charles Carr. K. L. Dalrymple, Hugli Gillies, Ljavid Howie, J. A. McCrca, Robert McNab, A. J. Flock, and James Terinant.
Tho report and balance-sheet showed a considerably increased membership, and a profit of £355 on the year ending January 31st last, while since then the National Dairy Show had made a profit of £400, the largest for some years. The work of the new secretary, Mr W. T. Penny, was eulogised. Mr D. Buick, M.P., in returning thanks for his election as a vice-presi-dent, expressed his belief that Palmerston would now get a dairy school. Major Dunk, who had been chairman of the National Dairy Show Committee since its inception, was elected an honorary life member. ' Tt was decided to accept Mr v\. Wilkinson's tender of £859 for.the erection of the Wheeler memorial sheep navilion, in memory of the late -Urli. C. Wheeler, the Romney breeder, iho new oavilion is to be in full design GO t by 250 ft, while the present contract is for GOft by 175 ft. i
