THE LATE MR EUGENE O'CONOR
VALUABLE BEQUESTS TO WESTPORT. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WESTPORT. July 15. Word has been received that the late Mr Eugene O'Conor, who represented tho Buller District in Parliament, and who was the initiator of the movement to establish the Westport Harbour Board, has left the bulk of his estate, estimated at abcut £20,000, to establish a home in Westport for destitute children and destitute old people of tho district. Tho trustees are the Roman Catholic B'shop of Wellington, the member of Parliament for the Buller District, and the Mayor of Westport for the timo being. On the death ot the relatives, the annuities now left to them will also come to Westport for tho benefit of the Homo. The whole of Mr O'Conor's valuable library is left to the Westport Free Public Library. •
