ENGINE-DRIVERS' DEMANDS.

-.-■ WELLINGTON, July 13. Fresh demands! have been made by tho Engine-drivers' Union for the hours and wages, much about the same as under the old award, but with this differenco that the time spent in getting up steam has to be paid for. The hours are fixed at 48 a week as formerly, but instead of. 10s a day for first-class, and 9s for second-class* men, there is asked ls 3d per hour and ls ljd per hour respectively. LocomotiTe and traction drivers are included in the new demands, their pay' being Is 3d an hour. -
