PROVINCIAL DOCKERS STRIKE.
BIRMINGHAM POLICE CALLED IN. Two thousand men have struck at Plymouth, and 2000 at Southampton. Ships aro held up at Bristol, Manchester, nnd Sunderland. Tho Seamen's and Firomen's Union are, ballotting as to whether they will join tho transport workers. Tho result will be declared on Monday, Thirteen thousand provincial dockers liavo struck. The Londoners on strike number 120,0C0. Owing to tho conditions attached to Mr McKcnna's offer of 100 police to protect Moulder Bros' men at Purfleet, in Essex, the authorities declined to accept it, and obtained 200 Birmingham policemen instead.
