GOVERNMENT FORECAST.
Mr D. C. Bates, Government Meteorologist, supplied th« following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday: — Mild and humid conditions have prevailed, misty tind ehowery in parts. Moderate westerly winds have predominated, with a Gloivly "follinsr barometer. Present indications. are for moderate to strong easterly winds, backing to northerly, and increasing everywhere. Unsettled, 7nisty and cloudy weather, with rain, 19 probable gcnernlly, tho barometer fulling , everywhere, and low in tho South.
