AN OLD COLONIST.
(γ-urss association selegiiam.} PALMERSTON NORTH, May 7. Tho death orcurred hero yesterday, after two days' illness, of a very old colonist, in tho person of Mr Charlos Price, at tho ago of 93. The lato Mr Price arrived in New Zealand iv 1844. Ho had an adventurous career. In 1846 ho .established a timber yard at Pipite:i Point. Wellington, and later went to tho Victorian goldiields. Ho was shipwrecked twice, and on another ~ occasion a terrific explosion wrecked his vessel, tho crew having a miraculous escape. There were twentvone children in his family, but only two survive him. Tho deceased had nover had a day's illness, and had never required tho services of a doctor till tho day before his death.
