United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 6. The death is announced of the Bishop of Truro. Tho Rt. Rev. Chas. Wm. Stubbs, D.D., Bishop of Truro, was born in Liverpool in 1845. Ho was educated at tho Royal Institution School, Liverpool, and at Cambridge. In 1868.-'ho was appointed Senior Curate of fc>t. Mary's. Sheffield, which position he held till 3871, when ho was appointed vicar of Granboro', Bucks. Thirteen years later ho was appointed to the vicarage of Stokenham. South Devon, where he remained till 1834, being appointed Rector of Wavertree, Liverpool, in ISSSj and Dean of Ely ia 1894. Tho latter position he hfild
till 1006. when ho (was appointed to tho sco or. Trnro. At various periods of his lite, he held tho positions of selectpreacher at Cambridge. Oxford, and Harvard, U.S.A., and Lady Margaret preacher at Cambridge. Ho was wellknown as an author of religious works, and his publications wero exceedingly numerous, while he was also tho author of several .well-known poems. Ho had been m bad health for sorao months.
