WE SELL PETROL AT £1 PER CASE TO-DAY.
Tho sliortness of supplies of petrol is causing motorists crcat inconvenience nnd financial loss just at present, and those who are holding supplies in this city for speculative purposes aro demanding prohibitive prices. Wo are convinced that tho shortage on tho marke£ is an artificial one, and that thoro is plenty of petrol in tho city if the holders would only releaso it. Asi it is not to our interests, or to tho interests of our clients and motorists generally that speculators should bo allowed to exploit those needing supplies of motor spirit, we have- decided to tako drastic steps to bring the price of petrol down to the normal level. We jiavcV obtained a supnly of 100 cases, which is to be delivered to us to-day, and wo will sell this supply at our garape to anyone- who wants to use it at £'] per case. "We may further state that we have ample supplies arriving to our order in a few days' time, and will use our best endeavours to prevent whnt we consider ah unwarranted inflation of prices. If the speculators do not releaso their supplies and place them at onco on the market, they will hnvb only themselves to blame if thoy burn their finders over their little investments. Tho ruling prioa for petrol yesterday in this city was. 30s per case. To-day wo cut that price by 10s. Adams Ltd. Garage, Tuam street, Chrisitchurch, near High street premises. 6
