THE BISHOP OF OXFORD'S VIEWS. (Received A.pril 11th, 11.20 p.m.) LONDON. Apr? 11. Tho Bishop of Oxford states that wages will no longer settle themselves by the law of supply and demand. Tho proper basis for tlie reconstruction of society is tho principle that adequate payment for labour should bo a first chargo upon industry. A permanent standard wage would doubtless entail a standard of effie'ency in the worker.
