Tho stewards of the Canterbury Jockey Club held an enquiry into tho running of Midnight Sun in tho Sockburn Handicap, and after hearing the evidenco of tho' trainer and jockey, decided that thero -was not sufficient beforo them to take further action, but they wore unanimously of opinion that tho horse's running was very unsatisfactory. Anceptajices for the Wellington Racing Club's Autumn Aloeting close to-morrow evening. At Riven-ton on Tuesday, the Riverton .Stcoplechase was won by The Gunner list 9lb, with Lugeon 9sfc 121b second, and True Blue 12st 101b third. The principal flat race' of the day, the Easter Handicap, was won by Sombrero, who had ivon the Riverton Cup on the previous day. The places were filled by Routine and Direetoire, who had finished in reverso order behind Sombrero on the first day. At the Reaumont Races on Easter Monday, lied, White and Blue won the Reaumont Handicap; Quota the President's Hack Handicap, and Icilma tho Flying Handicap and Farewell Handicap, By his victory in the -\ll-Agod Stakes at Randwick yesterday. Malt King proved that, ho retains all his brilliance over mile courses, as the field he beat was a very good one. The time, lmin 4-4*ec. suggests, however, that tho pace* must Lave been a bit slow ill the early stages of the race.

Trafalgar, who won the Cumberland Stakes at Randwick yesterday, holds an unbeaten record in wcight-for-age races in Australia this season.

For the Ladies' Bracelet Handicap at Addington yesterday, which was confined to unlioppled trotters, thero wero thirty-four acceptors, and all but three of these started, the field being a record one for the IST.Z. Metropolitan Trotting Club.
