Parliament will be inaugurated before October. The "Deputies will be elected for four years and the Senators for six.
The Khutiikhta is the ecclesiastical chief of the Alongolian Lamaists. tie is second only to the Dalai Lama, and he recently crowned himself King of Mongolia.
Mongolia, which before the revolution was a frontier province of China, is a vast and indefinite tract, bounded on the north by Siberia, and on the south by the province of Sin-Kiang. It has an area of about 1,367,600 square miles, and a population of about 2.600.000. The inhabitants are nomadic Mongols and Kalmucks, and even in fertile districts there is little agriculture.
