MANY PERSOaNS DROWNED.
CAIRO, April 9An excursion steamer, which had three hundred persons aboard, collided with another steamer. The latter saved many of the excursion steamer's passengers, but many were drowned. Seventeen bodies have already been recovered. Tho city has been plunged into mourning over the eveut.
