The. Hagley Club's season will- open on Bit—-day with putting competitions at _ p.m. The club is somewhat unfortunate, as its' opening is a- month later than last year, and the- cou-flo is in anything but a fit stato for play. Tho ron_.it.ee had hoped io obtain Permission from tho Domain Board to prepare th« course at tho usual time, moro particularly as a considerably increased license '«• is being paid thi- year. This could not 00 ampged, however, and tho exceptional growth ia now proving very difficult. to deal with.
