Letter mails close for the following place* as under, subject to - the neceisary alterations:— Mails pi? express to Dunedin and South close daily at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.; late fee i.e.. letters bearing Id additional stamp, 11.15 a.m.; also mail van up.to 8 a.m., and guard's van, 11.55 a.m. train. For Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via Monte Video and Teneriffe, at 4.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train. Registered articles and money orders, 2.45 p.m.; parcels, books, and no-tri-papors, 3.15 p.m. For Kaikonra, per Cygnet, at 6.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.50 p.m. train. THURSDAY, MARCH 21. For Australian States, etc., due Sydney March 26th, India, China, Ceylon, Hong Kong, Straits Settlements, South Africa, etc., also Continent of Europe and-United Kingdom, via Naples, due London April 26th, per s.s. Maori, to connect, with Warrimoo, at 6.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.45 p.m.j guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train. Money orders, 4 p.m.; registered articles and parcels, 4.45 p.m.; books and newspapers, 5.45 p.m. For Northern Ports, per Warrimoo, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Also, per Maori, at. 6.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train.
In future the mail for 'Sumner will close at the G.P.O. pt noon daily, instead of 12.30 p.m.' as heretofore. Mails ■ for the United Kingdom, etc., despatched via San Francisco on fith February, arrived in London on 15th inst., four days late; and mails via Brindisi, also despatched on Bth Febiuary, arrived in London on 15th inst., due date. Mails from the United Kingdom that left London on February 16th, via Naples, are due in Christchurch on March 26th, as follows:—Letters at 8 a.m., via Auckland; newspapers, 5.50 p.m.,. via Bluff.
