NOTES.
Ladies' Man remains in the Sydney Cup, but Abdicator has been scratched. A Sydney cable message states that Lady Medallist and Sunburnt competed at ihe KosehilJ Meeting on Saturday, but were unplaced in each case. During the concluding day of the Napier Park Racing Clubs Meeting Jast week, Tripoli and Stourton were put up for eale. The former was passed in at 260gs, Stourton finding a new owner in Mr McHardie. Wild Lupin, who got away from his attendant at Trentham and colliding u:th a lamp-post damaged a hip severely, is still under the care of a veterinary surgeon at Hawera. SmaJl pieces of bone continue to come away occasionally, and it is considered very doubtful if the Lupin gelding will ever again oe much use for racing purposes.
