WEST-HAYWARD PICTURES.
A remarkably fine programme of pictures -was presented at His Majesty's Thcatro last night, beforo a crowded nttondauco of patrons. Included in the programme was one of tho most thrilling dramas screened here. Its titlo was "A Fight to Death," and it dealt with a Nihilist plot which involves the theft of a police documont and tho pursuit of tho Nihilist emissaries by the police, both parties being in motor-care. The chase is a most thrilling ono. The police car gradually creeps up, but tho pursued car puts on an extra. da.-»h of speed, and draws away. Suddenly a precipice yawns ahead, tho driver cannot pull up in time, and tho car and occupants dash to destruction. An interesting scientific film was shown, revealing the myriads of tiny to be found in stagnant water, and which when highly magnified, assume grotesque and terrifying shapes. "The Elopement" was based on an old "English romance, and was another capital film. A number of other very fir.c pictures wero also shown. .To-ni;4ht the programme will be repeated.
