(PKESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAH.) WELLINGTON. March 18. In tlie Wellington-Marlborough cricket match, the visitors batted first, and made 71, Wellington responding with 305. Burton put up a score of 122 by fine play.
A match was played at Sydenham Park between teams representing Weeks, Ltd. C.C. and the Municipal Council Employees' C.C, the former winning by an innings and <U rijos. Scores: —Weeks, Ltd., first innings -70 (Evans 78, P. Irving 20, R. Irving 38, 11. Whitehead 17. T. Biddle 1(5, J. Stubberdeld 12); Council, first innings 56 (Knox 13, Cropp 11), second innings 50 (Dunn 34, James 11). P. Irving, Christmas, and Evans bowled best for the winners, and Dawe end Dunn far the losers.
The following are the fourth grade matches and grounds for next Saturday:—Riccarton r. School, at Lancaster Park; St. Albans v. East Christchurch, Lancaster Park; Linwood v. College, College Ground. Owing to ■\Yest Christchurch not being able to j.,«t a team, Sydenham will havo no natch.'
