RAXGIORA. llangiora Borough Council met ,on Friday evening. Present—The Mayor (Mr E. R. Good) and Crs. Eoyd, Bell, Bridget, Jordon, Sausom, Smith, Walker and Jennings. In referenoA to tho Council's application to the Pailway Department for payment of £8 8s 3d, damages incurred in the flooding of the gasworks, the District Engineer ■wrote, refusing to recommend payment of tho claim, on tho ground of the 3>opartment not being in any way liable for the damage.
