This drawing (from a photograph) shows the New Encyclopaedia Britauuica, printed on India paper, in process of use. The Georgian bookcase of polished rosewood holds the 29 volumes in a single row of only 30 inches, and each volume can be doubled back and held easily in one baud for reading.
