From private sources it was learned, however, that the reef going north towards the Woodstock at tho lowest part of tho mine had split. In some quarters it is held that the depressing oi the price of tho shares is an Auckland market operation. Tho Chairman of tho Wellington Local Advisory Board of the- Talisman mine (Dr. C. Prendrrgast Knight) is at present In tho Waikato district, an_d it is understood that he will proceed at "bnco to the mine, and probably furnish a Teport to the Wellington Stock Exchango on the results of his visit.
